Candied Salmon

 
Ingredients -
1/4 cup Butter
1 Garlic Clove, minced
4 Salmon Fillets, (6 ounce) 
3 Large Onions, thinly sliced
1 cup White Vinegar
1 cup Brown Sugar
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and grease the foil with cooking spray.

3. Combine the onions, vinegar and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.

4. Cook, stirring occasionally until the sauce begins to caramelize which takes approximately 15 minutes.

5. In a small skillet over medium heat, melt the butter with the garlic.

6. Lay the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, and brush with the garlic butter.

7. Pour the onion mixture over the fillets.

8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until the fish flakes easily.

9. Cooking time may vary with the thickness of your fillets.
